I showed my 13-year-old son war films to give violent games context
Author of Taming Gaming, Andy Robertson, showed his 13-year-old son 'Saving Private Ryan' because he was concerned about his "blas茅 attitude" towards violence after regularly playing online game, Fortnite.
Speaking to 5 Live's Adam Rosser, Robertson said that "although there are a lot of positives in the game" and he didn't want to stop his son playing Fortnite, he wanted to show him the "real world realities" of death and violence.
He told his son it was a film and not real life, but believes it will have a positive impact on him.
