Cari Cari are an Austrian band formed by drummer/singer Stephanie Widmer and guitarist/singer Alexander K枚ck. Rolling Stone Magazine described their performance at Primavera Sound Barcelona as 鈥渘othing but surreal鈥� and called them the most important discovery of the festival.

The duo has been baptised "the lovechild of The Kills and The XX" (IndieShuffle, US) "with a pinch of Morricone" (FM4, AUT) and "the raw grit of Cat Power" (BestBefore, AUS). But Cari Cari don鈥檛 seem to care too much. The duo claim they only founded the band to be featured in a Quentin Tarantino movie. They have achieved a few milestones on that path having licensed their music for multiple Hollywood productions including the Emmy-winning TV hit Shameless.

In the last year the duo鈥檚 list of big name media clippings and major festival appearances has grown extensively. Festivals such as The Great Escape (UK), Eurosonic Noorderslag (NL) and Sziget Festival (HU) as well as headline tours in Australia and the UK now just make up a fracture of Cari Cari鈥檚 busy touring schedule.
