Melbourne based Dr John O'Donnell told 5 live Sportsweek that Murray has 'had enough' of dealing with the injury and just wants to 'stop being in pain'.
Dr O'Donnell speculated on whether a hip replacement could provide a solution to Andy's long term injury.
Murray announced he would retire in 2019 just before year's Australian Open Grand Slam
