Using food waste to ease holiday hunger
Supermarkets donate food that is close to its sell-by date, it is then repackaged and sent out to local community centres or youth centres that help to provide for children from struggling families during the summer.
The Avenues Youth Project serve breakfast and lunch to children in the local area.
