Is India slipping away from secularism?

Anger is filling the streets of India - anger and violence. Thirteen people died this week, as unprecedented protests against a new citizenship law turned ugly. Hundreds of thousands of people, across the country, are venting their fury and fear over the Citizenship Amendment Act -- changes they say discriminate against India's 200-million Muslims, threatening the secular values of the world's largest democracy. Rana Ayyub is one of India's best known investigative reporters, and an opinion writer for the Washington Post. She has been documenting the protests.
