RAF veteran steps back in time

An RAF veteran who worked as an aircraft mechanic during the Second World War has taken a step back in time at Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre.

James Chambers – who is 100 years old – spent the conflict ensuring Avro Ansons were fit to fly.

This week, James went to see one of the few surviving aeroplanes as it undergoes a huge restoration. The Nine's Louise Cowie spent the day with him.
