Fifty years ago, a group of scientists believed they had found a way to wipe people's memories, and then reconstruct them. They were convinced that the prejudices and hatreds that led to nationalism, war and destruction were built on memories. But as the Cold War developed, the CIA became involved.
This film tells the story of what happened when the CIA started secretly funding the memory experiments, and the scientists and secret agents found themselves in a world of paranoia where nothing could be trusted, not even their own memories.
