The proxy Hajj: Staying safe from scammers

Hajj al-Badal, or proxy Hajj, can be performed by some Muslims on behalf of those unable to attend. Usually it’s relatives who perform a proxy Hajj for their loved ones – but are services offering to do it for a fee breaking the rules? Rashid Mogradia, CEO of the Council of British Hajjis, believes that some of these agencies may not have the right licensing and could even be circumventing laws in Saudi Arabia.
