As different countries tackle rising infections and lockdowns return to some places, it鈥檚 becoming clear that Covid-19 will be with us for some time. This animation looks at the future of Covid-19. What can previous pandemics reveal to us about how outbreaks often develop? Could mutations to the virus trigger even bigger waves of Covid-19? And are more waves of infection and spikes in cases unavoidable?
