Covid-19: Could mutations make the coronavirus more dangerous?

Mutations to a virus are common in the course of a pandemic. Scientists believe one called D614G may have made it easier for the virus to be transmitted between humans. As cases of people becoming reinfected with Covid-19 start to be seen, there are concerns that this might be a result of new variants. Could we be hearing more about other mutations in the future?
