Coronavirus: Why is Covid-19 so infectious?

Covid-19 spreads quickly and easily compared to many other diseases. Airborne transmission via respiratory droplets is a major way for the coronavirus to spread and many people with Covid-19 won鈥檛 even know they have the disease. One significant mutation has already made it easier for the Sars-Cov-2 coronavirus to attach itself to us. This is helping the virus to spread faster, although it doesn't appear to have made the disease itself more deadly. Scientists are keeping a close eye on how the virus is changing - will Covid-19 become even more infectious?
