'Navalny was determined to return to Russia’

Prominent Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny was determined to return to the country after recovering from nearly being killed by a nerve agent attack, a key ally and executive director of his anti-corruption foundation has said.

“It’s not for nothing that Navalny became the leader of Russian opposition. His moral authority, his moral stance is what really underpins his position as leader of opposition,” Vladimir Ashurkov told ̳ Hardtalk’s Stephen Sackur.
