The living dead of India
What would it be like if everyone believed you were dead?
Lal Bihari discovered he had been wrongly declared dead at the age of 22, after he was denied a loan. He says that he couldn't convince those at the local government office otherwise - after all, they had his death certificate as proof.
He does not know whether it was some kind of clerical error or a scam by his uncle, whose family inherited Lal Bihari's land.
After 18 years, he finally was able to prove he wasn't dead. Now, he's helping others who have fallen victim to the same thing.
