Thornberry: Rayner 'probably should not have said scum'
A Labour colleague has suggested 鈥渢here may have been drink partaken鈥 over Angela Rayner鈥檚 鈥渟cum鈥 comments about the government.
Emily Thornberry said "people just need to know the atmosphere" over the phrase used at a party conference fringe event.
The shadow international trade secretary said her deputy leader 鈥減robably should not have said scum鈥, but did not need to retract the comments.
