Paul McCartney reflects on how he wrote Yesterday at the age of 22.

Widely considered one of the best songs of the 20th Century, McCartney now thinks it may well have been inspired by the death of his mother eight years earlier.

He also reveals how Yesterday was almost recorded as an avant-garde electronic track.
