India: Protests over wearing a Hijab in Schools continue
In India the tensions between Muslim and Hindu students have been on the rise in the southern state of Karnataka. It follows the state's decision to ban the wearing of the Muslim hijab in schools and universities.
They were closed to stop any violence, but are expected to partially re-open on Monday. As schools re-open the Karnataka high court is expected to consider an appeal by Muslim students to overturn the ban on hijabs.
