Australians 'have moved on' from Djokovic visa row

Novak Djokovic created headlines around the world when Australia twice cancelled his visa ahead of the Australian Open.

In an exclusive interview with the 成人论坛, the Serbian tennis ace has addressed speculation about the sequence of events that led to his detention in Melbourne. He says that he understands why so many people in Australia have been angry, and insists he has abided by the rules.

Djokovic says that he's prepared to miss the French Open and Wimbledon tournaments rather than be vaccinated against coronavirus.

Newsday has spoken to Emily Benammar, head of digital sport at News Corp Australia, for a response. She says that Australians have moved on from the deportation row, but that it will be hard for Djokovic to restore his reputation in Australia.
