Hedgehog rescue in Leicestershire helping hedgehogs in need

Hedgehogs have been under intense pressure for some years now, with their numbers falling dramatically.

But hedgehogs play an important part in suburban gardens because of how they eat unwanted creatures like beetles and worms, as well as keeping crops and plants in good health.

One Leicestershire organisation is doing what they can to help hedgehogs thrive. Digby's Hedgehog Rescue provides rescue, rehabilitation and care to sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs, with the aim of releasing them back into their natural habitat. Shannon Hawker spoke to Ben Jackson about Digby's Hedgehog Rescue.
