The Boy Who Lived - Harry Potter's Stunt Double
His story is the subject of a new Sky documentary which highlights how his close friendship with Daniel Radcliffe has helped him in the years following his accident.
David Holmes鈥� life changed forever in January 2009 - when he was working as Daniel Radcliffe's stunt double. He was on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, preparing to do a stunt - the one in which Harry is attacked by the venomous snake Nagini and gets slammed through a wall. He was hooked up to a harness for a 鈥榡erk back鈥�, which was supposed to yank him backwards through the air. During rehearsals for this scene he had a horrific accident.
He broke his neck and was paralysed from the chest downwards. His story is the subject of a new Sky documentary - "David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived"
which highlights how his close friendship with Daniel Radcliffe and others has helped him in the years following his accident.
