Martin Lewis: 'If you're not married - you need to strongly consider doing a will'
Under the UKs intestacy laws, Martin explains that regardless of how many years or how many kids a couple may have, without a will, they may not be left anything if their partner dies.
He's urging those who aren't married to set up a will - but warns that the intestacy laws work slightly differently depending on where in the UK you live.
"If you are not married, the fact that you have lived together with someone for 25 years and have four children just is not taken into account under the intestacy laws and it means they may not be left anything", he said.
Adding: "If you do die will-less then you need to look them [the intestacy laws] up because it is different in each of the UK nations".
