Steve McQueen tells Talking Movies of his "vital" documentary on Nazi Occupation
Oscar winning British director Steve McQueen has a formidable track record having made acclaimed features on the 1981 IRA hunger strike, sex addiction and slavery.
Now he鈥檚 turned to the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam during World War 2 during which three-quarters of the Dutch Jewish population was slaughtered.
McQueen鈥檚 film which has just opened in the US arrives at a time when anti-Semitism has been riding high because of the conflict in the Middle East. As he鈥檚 been telling Talking Movies鈥� Tom Brook this has, to him, just made his film more vital and urgent.
