In 2022, large crowds of people gathered on the streets of Tehran. They were protesting about the death of a woman who has become a symbol of rebellion across Iran. Mahsa Amini died in police custody after being arrested for allegedly not wearing her headscarf properly 鈥� in violation of laws which have been enforced for 45 years. Despite the demonstrations being brutally put down by the security forces, some people have continued to break those rules - and refused to wear head coverings - at great personal risk.
The 成人论坛 cannot operate freely in Iran, but we鈥檝e managed to get in contact with some of them. As the country prepares to hold its first parliamentary elections in years, we wanted to know how they felt about the future.
