Flying the flag for Lowther Castle
Five hundred yellow flags have been planted in the grounds of this Penrith landmark in an installation designed by artist Steve Messam. Hugh Lowther was known as the Yellow Earl and he had a thing for yellow - as you do, if you're one of the richest people in England - and he even founded the AA, that's famous for its yellow trademark.
