Patrice Evra: 'I'm not a victim, I call myself a survivor'
Patrice Evra, former Manchester United and France footballer was abused when he was 13. He kept it a secret until he was 40.
He now helps other children around the world who have suffered violence and abuse, working with the United Nations and World Health Organisation.
Patrice described how the abuse affected both himself as a human and his football career.
"He took from me my sensitivity, my trust, that's why I had difficulty at the beginning [of my career] with some managers because I didn't trust anybody", he said.
He spoke about a WHO report that found that half of all children will experience some kind of violence in their lives.
