Thumbs up for endangered Haweswater water voles
Threatened with extinction, these cute voles have been reintroduced by the Eden Rivers Trust and partner organisations, and it looks like like they're beginning to establish a breeding population. Better known as 'Ratty' in The Wind and the Willows classic children's book, it's hoped that they will once again become a common sight on Cumbria's waterways.
