Historic Gate Gill mine lead pollution fix
Metal in the mine water discharge from old workings near Threlkeld have been targeted by the Environment Agency for a clean up. Once the work is completed 25 kilometres of streams feeding Bassenthwaite Lake will be decontaminated.
