Kendal: For whom the bagpipes play
Leading up to the D-Day 80th anniversary commemorations in Cumbria bagpipes will sound for 10 days. This morning at 8 o'clock Kendal Castle echoed to their stirring sounds, a reminder of the brave pipers who played while the bullets and shells tried to drown them out during days that changed the world.
