Swiftie is surprised on-air with Wembley tickets from a listener: 'It was one of the best experiences of my life'
11-year old swam the duration of Taylor Swift's catalogue and was surprised with tickets.
11-year-old Ellie Scarr from stockport swam lengths in her local swimming pool for the duration of Taylor Swift’s entire album catalogue, 24 hours and 46 minutes. She listened to the music with waterproof headphones and completed the challenge to raise money for the RSPCA.
Ellie first appeared on 5 Live Drive at 16:21 on 12 April 2024 and spoke to Tony Livesy about her experience, she said “Getting Eras tour tickets is really hard and I didn’t manage to, I wanted to do a big challenge to get Taylor’s attention and I’ve always wanted to raise money for the RSPCA."
Ellie and her mother, Angela, were invited back onto the show two hours later because 5 Live listener Joe had texted in to offer Ellie some spare tickets he had for Taylor’s Wembley show. After she’d been to the concert, she came back on to tell us about the fantastic time she had.
She said “It was one of the best experiences of my life so far, it was just amazing."
She added “I made 93 friendship bracelets and traded them, everyone was so nice."
Ellie’s challenge, Swim 4 Swift has raised £1,048 for the RSPCA, with the help from 5 Live listeners.
