Olympian Sandrine Billiet is a judoka who has competed for both Belgium and Cape Verde. She was at the Tokyo Games, which were delayed because of the Covid pandemic and held in 2021.
Sandrine spoke to Ella Al-Shamahi on The Conversation about why she had to adjust her goals when trying to qualify for Tokyo and how judo has sustained her through the long illness and then death of her mother.
