“They tortured me… I was almost killed”
Issa Amro is a well-known Palestinian activist in Hebron in the occupied West Bank. On the day of Hamas's deadly attack on Israel on October 7, Amro was one of the first to be detained by the Israeli military. He tells Weekend he was taken to a military base where he was beaten and tortured.
