Hundreds of new homes approved after issue resolved
A plan to build hundreds of new homes in Salford has taken a step forward.
Permission to build a new estate with 274 homes on land at Robert Hall Street and West Park Street in Ordsall was approved by Salford council in March.
But the plans faced a stumbling block after it was found that the land, which is owned by Salford City Council, was still being held for use by the town hall鈥檚 children鈥檚 services department, as well as planning teams.
The situation was resolved at a council meeting when it was agreed to transfer the site for residential development, allowing the plans to move ahead.
