In 1973, an American engineer called Marty Cooper made the world鈥檚 first mobile phone call from a street in New York City. He believed one day everyone would have their own phone.
In 1973, an engineer called Marty Cooper made the world鈥檚 first mobile phone call from a street in New York City. Cooper worked for a then tiny telecoms company called Motorola, but he had a vision that one day people would all want their own personal phone that could be reached anywhere. He talks to Louise Hidalgo.
