A Life With Wolves
Shaun Ellis spends his life living in enclosures with captive wolf packs with the aim that the wolves teach him about what it is to be a wolf - it's easy for some people to think he's slightly mad.听
His insights about the complex social lives and communication - through scent, body language and, of course, howling - you begin to think that he may be onto something.
Grant Sonnex met him when he was with a litter of wolf pups - 1 year old - trying to teach them what other older wolves had taught him.
Day in, day out Shaun lives, sleeps and eats with the pups, giving them lessons in hunting, howling and the hierarchy of a wolf pack that is so central to their lives.
This level of detailed preparation is an ongoing听platform for Shaun's plan to live with wolves, as a wolf, in the wild!
