Nobel Meeting

What happen when you put 45 Nobel Prize-winners together?

Young science students from around the world will find out this week at the 55th Nobel prize-winners' meeting in Lindau, Germany.

They'll have the chance to quiz famous laureates from the world of physics, chemistry and medicine.

Quentin Cooper is joined by Professors Harry Kroto and Anders B谩r谩ny. They'll be discussing the meeting and giving their听top tips on how to win the highest honour in science.

Palladium

200 years ago, the discovery of a new metaillic element called palladium caused a furore.

Chemist William Wollaston decided not to published his finding in a learned journal. Instead, he sold it from a shop in Soho.

Joining Quentin this week, to get the mettle of the metal man is Prof Bill Griffith from Imperial College and Dr Ian Fairlamb from York University.

They'll be discussing the colourful story of palladium's discovery and how it's used today.
