Obesity
Engaging children with healthy food 11th July 2007
The Food Dudes
Encouraging children to choose fruit and veg over junk

“Eat your Greens!” – the eternal cry of the frustrated parent of a fussy child. With child obesity rates rising year on year it is becoming increasingly important to encourage children to eat more healthily. This weekend sees the first children’s food festival, an event designed entirely to enthuse children about healthy eating at home and at school. Jenni will be joined by food writer Amanda Grant who is hosting the Kids Kitchen at the festival and by Professor Fergus Lowe, Professor of Psychology at the University of Wales, Bangor, who has a more superhero based approach.
