Jessie Tait, created some of the most innovative ceramic designs of the 1950s and 60s. Her abstract designs captured the spirit of the time with Festival, which celebrated the Festival of Britain; Zambesi, a striking black and white zebra pattern with a vibrant splash of red; and coffee pots designed in the Mexicana, Sienna and Spanish Garden ranges. Following her recent death, Jane is joined by Cheryl Buckley, Professor in Design HistoryÌý at the University of Northumbria, and the design and collectables specialist, Mark Hill, to discuss Jessie’s designs and her legacy.
