Young women are living in a climate of fear in one of Britain's biggest cities. That's the claim by an academic at Bradford University who says she's been forced to speak out because of the suffering she's seen among Asian Muslim women in the city.
Dr Marie Macey says young women are self harming and even committing suicide because of the pressures they face at home. And, she says, white feminists are too afraid to speak out about the sufferings they see because they don't want to be called racist. Is she right?
Jenni discusses this claim with Anne Cryer MP, Professor Haleh Afshar from York University and Hamera Khan who runs a battered wives centre.
