At The National Coalmining Museum in Wakefield, the artist Meloni Poole, exhibits her work: five pillows sculpted from coal and fibreglass.
On each pillow rests an object - knitting, flowers, model aeroplane kit - to represent the hidden creative lives of miners. She was inspired by own father who died of chronic bronchitis and emphysema after years as a coal miner. The Exhibition at the National Coalmining Museum runs until November.
