Jenny Armstrong spent her life as a shepherd in the Pentlands south of Edinburgh.
She was born in 1903, but in the 1970s a young artist couple happened to move to Scotland to the cottage next door to hers. Victoria Crowe ended up painting the Shepherd's life over the next twenty years.
These paintings have been brought together in an exhibition A Shepherd's Life which is touring Scotland.
