Dervla Kirwan is best-known for her role as feisty publican Assumpta Fitzgerald, in TV's fictional village of Ballykissangel.
At the age of 19 she played the female lead in Melvyn Bragg's controversial 4-part series A Time To Dance.
After more theatre work and a role in popular sitcom Goodnight Sweetheart, she was offered the part of Assumpta.
She's most recently been seen in another television series Hearts & Bones, and is now appearing on stage at London's Garrick Theatre, in the JB Priestly play Dangerous Corner. She joins Jenni in the studio.
