Susan Aldworth was admitted to hospital just over two years ago with a suspected brain haemorrhage. Her brush with death provided new inspiration for her work as an artist. Intrigued by the images of the scans of her brain, Susan has incorporated what she saw into her work.
Simon Parkes went to find out how Susan translated her strange and frightening experience into art. Between A Thought and A Thing, an exhibition of Susan Aldworth's art, is at the Royal London Hospital to the end of March, and on display at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London in April.
