Marie Cure won the Nobel Prize twice and is without doubt one of the world's greatest scientists. It is nearly a hundred years since her first triumphs in physics in 1903. So why have so few women followed in her footsteps?
For the first time female physicists from across the globe have been gathering for a conference in Madame Curie's adopted city of Paris. They are trying to figure out an answer to that question and to do something about it.
Jenni talks to Sandra Chapman, Professor of Astrophysics at Warwick University, and to Dr Jan Evans-Freeman, lecturer at UMIST.
