In her performance exhibition, More Funny Feelings, Lisa Watts explores the experience of crying. She believes that it's time for crying to come out of the closet. It's no longer a sign of weakness but an activity requiring skill and endurance.
To prove her point, she employed actress Amelia Raeburn to sob in the name of art. Dr Angela Keane has researched into the cultural history of crying. Jenni asks them whether crying should be considered an empowering experience. More Funny Feelings is on tour at Colchester Arts Centre (25th/26th May), Leeds City Art Gallery (12th-27th June), 291 Gallery, Hackney Road London (21st June)
