Ìý Jane Brettle Friday 22 August 2003 Ìý
Artist Jane Brettle's most recent work is a series of large-scale photographic portraits of professional women who are innovators in their fields, from medicine and law, to engineering and the armed forces.

Jane joins Razia to talk about what inspired her choice of women and why it was important for her to reflect the way women were depicted in 18th and 19th century portraiture in these modern pictures.
Jane Brettle's exhibition, 'Airside', is on at the City Art Centre in Edinburgh until the 27 September (free admission). For more details visit the website or email: cac.enquiries@edinburgh.gov.uk
The collection of the portraits will be published on 13 September 2003, available from the City Art Centre, ISBN number 0900353228
