Should Grandparents have Legal Access Rights? Monday 22 September 2003
When parents divorce the immediate concern is of parental access and custody. But what about the grandparents who may suddenly find themselves denied contact with their grandchildren?

A new report based on a study of parents, grandparents and grandchildren, post-divorce concludes that grandparents don't merit special consideration if they apply to the court for an access order and that contact with grandparents is not necessarily that important to the grandchildren.
Report co-author Professor Gillian Douglas and Peter Harris, chairman of the Grandparents' Association join Jenni to discuss these findings.
