How successful are women prime ministers and presidents?
Sri Lanka was the first to elect a woman as leader back in 1960.听 India is the latest, although Sonia Gandhi听is reluctant to take on the top job. In the intervening years scores of women have held the highest political office as presidents or prime ministers. At the last count there were twelve.

And Jenni talks to Britain鈥檚 longest serving female MP, Labour鈥檚 Gwyneth Dunwoody who鈥檚 met many of the world鈥檚 great female leaders. Also joining Jenni is Lesley Abdela, who鈥檚 just returned from a three month trip to Iraq advising on women, democracy and leadership.
