Goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher saved three penalties and scored another as the United States beat Canada 5-4 on penalties to win the SheBelieves Cup.

Naeher denied Jade Rose, Cloe Lacasse and Evelyne Viens, before Emily Fox scored the winning spot-kick.

The final had ended 2-2 after 90 minutes, with Canada's Adriana Leon and USA forward Sophia Smith scoring twice.

The USA have won the annual competition seven times since it began in 2016, including the past five in a row now.

Leon gave Canada a half-time lead but Smith's double put the hosts in front after the break in Columbus, Ohio.

Canada drew level with six minutes remaining when Crystal Dunn fouled Leon in the area and the Aston Villa winger converted the spot-kick.

The game was the last in charge for interim United States head coach Twila Kilgore before current Chelsea boss Emma Hayes takes over in June.

The USA and Canada also met in the Concacaf Women's Gold Cup semi-finals last month, with the United States also winning that game on penalties after another 2-2 draw.
