Swindon Town need to address the lack of "experienced football leadership" at the club, says the chair of their supporters' trust.

Trust STFC said they had "lost confidence and trust" in the club ownership in an open letter in May, and called for significant investment, a redevelopment plan of their stadium and transparency in communication.

Swindon are currently 21st in League Two and have won only once in the league this season in 10 games.

"Many of the issues we highlighted back in May still aren鈥檛 being addressed," Neil Hutchins, chair of Trust STFC, told 成人论坛 Radio Wiltshire before their 0-0 draw with Harrogate.

"For us one of the fundamental parts of that is getting experienced football leadership within the club.

"That鈥檚 not to say we want to replace the chairman and the chief executive. It is about getting people in who have spent 10, 15 years in football, they know how to run a club, dealing with the players, dealing with management more importantly dealing with the back of house."

Swindon have been owned by Australian businessman Clem Morfuni since July 2021.

While Hutchins said a "number of projects have been delivered" by Morfuni since May, a lack of footballing expertise at the top of the club remains an issue.

"I do think the chairman recognises that there鈥檚 a need to bring someone in. Who that is, on what terms and how quickly, is the bit that remains uncertain," Hutchins said.

"We continue to encourage the chairman that that happens as soon as possible. The benefits of that will quickly filter down through the entire organisation."
