France's all-time leading goalscorer Olivier Giroud will leave AC Milan at the end of the season to move to Major League Soccer.

The 37-year-old striker lifted the Serie A title in 2021-22 and has scored 48 goals and made 20 assists in 130 appearances for the Italian club.

It is expected that he will join his international team-mate Hugo Lloris at Los Angeles FC.

"I will be playing my final two matches with Milan and will continue my career in the MLS," Giroud said.

"I'm very proud of what I've achieved at Milan in the last three years. My time with Milan might be finishing this year but the club will remain in my heart."

Giroud joined Milan in 2021 after leaving Chelsea, having won the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup during four seasons in west London.

Previously, he spent six years at Arsenal, winning three FA Cups and scoring 105 goals in 253 games.

Giroud has netted 57 goals in 131 matches for France - six more than second-highest scorer Thierry Henry.
