Birmingham 'the team to beat' in League One - May

Birmingham City striker Alfie May says the winning feeling throughout the club is a "superb" experience as Blues have proved they're the team to beat in League One.
May scored the only goal of the game as Blues claimed a 1-0 victory over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday that took them five points clear at the top of League One with a game in hand over second-placed Wrexham.
It was Birmingham's seventh league win in a row - their best run since 1946 - and top-scorer May's fifth goal in eight league appearances after signing from Charlton Athletic in July.
Blues, backed by the millions - and glamour - of American owners Shelby Companies Limited, started the season as favourites to secure an immediate return to the Championship after relegation last term.
So far, they are living up to that expectation and May, top scorer in League One last season, says the squad are doing their best to keep their focus firmly on football.
"We're getting a lot of media attention - the outside noise - but we, as players, aren't listening to that," May, 31, told 成人论坛 Radio WM. "It's down to us on the pitch to do our jobs and, currently, we are.
"We need to stick to it, we're the team to beat at the moment and we need to keep grinding.
"It's very rare that you see seven wins in a row. It doesn't matter what league you play in. That winning feeling is superb."

'Learning every day'
It was Blues 拢10m striker Jay Stansfield who teed-up May for the winner against the Terriers just over an hour into the game at St Andrew's.
May says his relationship with fellow forwards Stansfield and Scotland international Lyndon Dykes is steadily improving.
"Credit to Jay - he made a great run and squared it for me to tap it it," May added.
"It's important we have that bond because that's what will take us to the next level. Lyndon's played the last two and he's worked with Jay well too.
"We're still learning every day. We've played eight league games and we're still a new team. We've got loads to do and to gel.
"I've been brought to score goals and you can ask Jay and Lyndon and they will say the same.
"Whoever scores the goals, as long as we're winning, it doesn't matter. You don't want to turn up every week and assume you're playing. Competition is good."
